A small studio building games people play together
A mehfil is an evening where people sit together for hours. We are trying to build that into a card game on a phone.
Mehfil Games makes multiplayer card and table games for Android. We are independent, so nobody is telling us to add a wheel of fortune or a second currency. The first title, Mehfil Poker, is in development.
How we work
Ship one thing properly.
Build the table once
Seats, turn order, a host that keeps everyone in sync, private rooms, local network discovery, reconnects. Every game we make after poker sits on top of that layer.
Offline comes first
Phones lose signal, trains go into tunnels, and the people you want to play with are often in the same room as you. We build the offline and local modes first and treat them as the normal case.
No dark patterns
No fake scarcity, no streak you lose for sleeping, no pay-to-win. The business model is optional ads that players choose to watch for a chip refill.
Announce late
We announce a game when we can show it running. Until then this site says what is in development and nothing more.
